How to backup Company Files of Quickbooks on Your Own:

Follow The Below Steps To Back Up Company File

  • Open Quickbooks
  • On the File menu choose back up Company and click Back up
  • Again Click Create Local Back up
  • A Pop Window will come and click on the option NEXT to Select Local Back Up
  • Select a location where you want to save Quickbooks backup. We recommend creating a folder inside your My Documents folder called “Quickbooks Backup”. You will also be asked how often to remind you to back up your company file. We recommend backing up after every time Quickbooks is closed.
  • If you are backing up to a local disk, Quickbooks will ask you to confirm.
  • Click Next to start the backup.
  • click on OK.
  • Save the backup now.
  • Now Click on Save to start the backup process.
  • A pop up window will appear once the backup has been completed.
  • Note:Ensure that quickbooks data is stored in a file with a QBW extension. Usually its appears like: {companyname}.QBW
